Withdrawing cash before departure
We recommend exchanging some cash before you depart. Foreign currency exchange shops at the airport usually charge a higher exchange rate, so we recommend doing this elsewhere before you travel.
Depending on the destination, you should always have the opportunity to withdraw money on arrival or at a local ATM.
Withdrawing cash overseas
From experience, our team and our customers have not expressed difficulty in withdrawing money when they are overseas. ATMs are accessible and you can also exchange cash at hotels. Your tour guide will be able to advise you on the best currency exchanges and banks to use.
The exception would be Cuba, where access to ATMs is very limited. Please see the destination specific tour page for further information and tips specific to this destination.
